Appannie Brings Windows Store Stats See Top Free Paid Grossing Apps Games

All that aside, Microsoft has convinced App Annie to offer support for Windows Store and Windows Phone Store thanks to its innovative approach. The fact that users can sample apps before buying them and the recently launched Dev Center Benefits portal – specially created to support Windows developers – constituted key arguments in App Annie’s decision to support Windows Store.

App Annie offers three features for Windows Store: Analytics, Store Stats and Team Sharing. Thanks to Analytics, manual aggregation is cut out and the possibility of human error in data collection is eliminated.

Store Stats offers you a better understanding of the top apps and their ranking movement. And if you want to track an app’s evolution back in time, data is available starting from March 2013 for Windows Store and March 2012 for Windows Phone Store. There are three columns available: Free, Paid and New.

“Analytics aims to make app store and advertising data accessible and actionable for your app business […] Once you’ve connected to Analytics, we’ll automatically collect and update all your data in your dashboard each day, as well as deliver a daily email with your key metrics.”, the official App Annie blog informs.

Team Sharing has also been updated to let users collaborate more easily and offer them more control over what data points they share. Team Sharing is a part of Analytics. You can now create teams and invite people to access information about your apps’ download or revenue.

Thanks to a series of new functionalities, you can:

Control how much each team gets to see;
Select specific data types you want to share thanks to data granularity feature;
Control the level of access for all members in your team.

All in all, what annoys Windows Phone users most is the availability lag between other operating systems and Microsoft’s. Perhaps one of the factors that led to that awful market share fell was the lack of good, interesting apps. Why buy a Windows phone if you don’t have access to as many apps as Android users for example? As you all know, Instagram got available on Windows phone three years after its release for Apple’s Iphone. Let’s see it App Annie can help Microsoft to catch up with other app stores in terms of diversity and availability.
