The Chief technology officer at Bank of America, Howard Boville, stated that “We are aggressively modernizing our technology infrastructure to enable current and future growth across all our lines of business.” He continued saying that their agreement with Microsoft aligns to their target of delivering 80% of the technology workloads on virtual platforms within the next few years. The primary objective is to establish Bank of America as a digital leader in financial services, and it seems that this can be accomplished with Microsoft’s help.

Microsoft promotes cloud adoption

The company sees a string cloud adoption from the financial services industry. Over 80% of the largest banks in the world and over 75% of the global important financial institutions are currently using Azure.
