Today, I was checking out my Facebook account, when I realized that I have stumbled upon a potential scam that could harm the security of my Windows 8 laptop and I’ve decided to share with the readers of this website, as well, what happened. Stay away from [BBC Exclusive] articles on Facebook

So, as you can see for yourself in the above screenshot which I took, we can clearly see that this is nothing more but a linkbait and a way to draw the attention of those naive enough to click on it. What could happen is that you will land on a page which will inject your system with trojans and other viruses. Therefore, naturally, don’t ever click on such news or videos on Facebook and only follow the official BBC Facebook page if you trust this newspaper. Besides this Facebook scam with BBC exclusive, there are many others, so make sure you don’t fall prey to this.

If you happen to know other similar scams which have been circulating on Facebook or on other online social networks, leave your comment below and we’ll consider writing some more posts to inform our audience.

If the advices above haven’t solved your issue, your PC may experience deeper Windows problems. We recommend downloading this PC Repair tool (rated Great on TrustPilot.com) to easily address them. After installation, simply click the Start Scan button and then press on Repair All.
