Microsoft has slashed the prices of a few of its products as an offer for its consumers on Black Friday. They have even set up a dedicated page for Black Friday deals whose discounts will be up on Microsoft’s Online store starting Wednesday, November 23rd at 9pm Pacific Time. As for Microsoft Stores, they will be open for customers to enjoy holiday discounts starting November 24th, the day after the online sale goes live. From November 25th, all participating Microsoft Stores will be good to go for Black Friday.

The Black Friday deals extend from smartphones to laptops and from consoles to gaming hardware. While browsing through its details, we noticed something that didn’t really fit in, though. The Lumia 950 XL (currently priced at $499) and the HP Elite x3 (currently priced at $799 with a Desk Dock) show some out of the ordinary discounted pricing. The numbers shown as “savings” don’t add up and, moreover, there was no additional detail on the site explaining the strange price tag.

When contacted, Microsoft elaborated the specifications of their Black Friday offers for Lumia 950 XL and HP Elite X3.

  • As part of its Black Friday offers, Microsoft, starting from November 24, will be throwing in a free unlocked Lumia 950 ($379.05 value) and a free Microsoft Display Dock ($99 value) with the purchase of $499 Lumia 950 XL.
  • An HP Elite x3 Bundle, including the handset priced for $799, the HP Laptop Dock priced for $599, a free silicon case and a free screen protector, all for just $1,148 allowing consumers to save $313.

Microsoft offered a similar deal back in April, giving away Lumia 950 with the purchase of Lumia 950 XL sans the Display Dock for US and Canadian residents.

If you are looking for similar deals from the commencement of the Black Friday sale until Cyber Monday, which is on November 28th, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be offered with discounts as high as $429.
