The good news is that Microsoft is already aware of this problem and its engineers are working on a fix.

This issue was posted to the Service Health Dashboard (SHD) as incident EX118103 starting at Wednesday, Sep 06 2017 11:57 PM (UTC). The user experience of this incident is: An “unexpected error” may occur when trying to access quarantined messages from the Security & Compliance center.

Microsoft is working to implement a temporary solution that will fix the problem for admins attempting to view the quarantine page from the Security & Compliance Center. The Redmond giant estimates that the fix will be deployed by September 15. The scheduled patch will fix the issue only for admins.

Microsoft said that its engineers are continuing to work on a fix to address the issue for other user types. Unfortunately, the company has yet to confirm when exactly the second fix will be available to users.
