On October 26th, along with the launch of Windows 8, Microsoft also launched Microsoft Surface RT tablet powered by Windows RT operating system. The Surface RT tablet is the ideal one for users who’re looking for a quality tablet with great set of features.

Surface RT is powered by Windows RT operating system which also includes Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 RT (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote). As you probably know, unlike many other popular tablets out there, Surface tablet comes with a full-size USB 2.0 port, microSDXC card slot, and HD video out port.

Users who have purchased a Touch Cover or Type Cover along with Surface RT must be knowing that both Touch Cover and Type Cover include a trackpad that can be used as a mouse. Surface owners who are using a Touch or Type Cover might want to change the default trackpad settings such as scrolling and tap gestures.

Microsoft has just released an app named Trackpad Settings to change the default settings of the trackpad included in Touch Cover and Type Cover for Surface. The app lets you enable or disable trackpad, turn off or turn on tap gestures, turn off or turn on scrolling, and enable or disable flip scrolling direction.

And if the app fails to detect your Touch or Type Cover, open Devices and Printers, and then tap Refresh button three times. Please note that Trackpad Settings app is only for Surface RT tablet and available for users residing in the U.S only.
