Channel 9 is a community website created by Microsoft for its customers. The website was released back in 2004 and it hosts discussions, podcasts, screencasts, interviews and videos. It is good to know that Channel 9 has also produced interviews with big names such as Erik Meijer, Mark Russinovich and Bill Gates.

It seems that a few days ago, Microsoft has redesigned the Channel 9 website. Well, we have some more news for you, as the company has announced that it is currently working on the official Channel 9 application for Windows 10 devices.

According to Microsoft, the new Channel 9 application will be based on the Universal Windows Platform. This means that you will be able to install the new application on computers that run on Windows 10 OS, on mobile devices that run on Windows 10 Mobile OS, but you can also use it on HoloLens headset and Xbox One console.

Unfortunately, it is not yet sure when exactly the application will be available for download. However, if rumors will prove to be right, we will have to wait a few months until we will see this application added to the store.

Keep in mind that the Channel 9 application is already available for Windows 8.1 OS and it can be used on devices running on Windows 10. However, the application comes with an outdated design, which not many will like. As soon as the new version of Channel 9 application will be released, you will notice some big changes related to its design.
