NetSpot WiFi is one of the most popular tools for managing WiFi networks and troubleshooting problems for Apple’s OS X. And now, it finally made its way to Windows users, as it is now fully compatible with Windows 7, 8/8.1, and Windows 10, and it supports WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.

How NetSpot 1 WiFi Analyzer for Windows works

NetSpot basically features two sections, the Discover, and the Survey sections. The Discover part allows you to keep track of all connected networks (both SSID and BSSID), by showing detailed info about them. It also provides some additional info, like signal strength, level of security, and router manufacturer info.

The Survey section allows you to create maps, called “heatmaps,” of all your connected networks, so you can look for even more details. Using the Survey option allows you to restrict your WiFi signal to a single network, or make it available for all eligible networks.

NetSpot 1 mainly kept its user interface elements from the OS X version, and since the app’s interface satisfied Apple’s users, it should satisfy Windows users, as well. The app is also very easy to use, so users can manage their WiFi connections without any problems.

Although the app kept the user interface, it is still missing some features that are present in the OS X version. For example, the Windows version doesn’t allow you to take multiple snapshots and zones of the survey project, but developers promised that we’ll see this feature in the Windows version, as well, soon.
