Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc recently confirmed the Windows Mobile Camera app will soon support Panorama mode. The rumors surrounding this feature have been circulating since May, but this is the first time Microsoft officially confirms that it’s working on bringing panorama photo support to its fans.

Brandon LeBlanc, Senior Program Manager on the Windows Insider Program Team, has yet to offer more information about the feature’s release date, instead resorting to a vague “soon”. This leaves much room for interpretation because soon could mean the Anniversary Update or even 2018.

Users tried to push LeBlanc to reveal more details, underlining that even the cheapest phone models out there already support Panorama mode, but to no avail:

Microsoft hasn’t mentioned which phone model would support Panorama mode or if all Windows 10 compatible phones would get the feature. However, previous rumors suggest the first models to support Panorama mode could be Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL and also describe how this feature would work on Windows 10 Mobile.

We try not to give specific timing due to the ever-changing nature of stuff.

Speaking of photos, the Camera360 app has finally come to Windows 10 to help you manage your photos more easily among other media. The app can automatically organize your photos based on the time it was taken, and organize your pictures into recent searches in the past, today, people familiar with, recently visited places, etc.
