Build 2016 has seen a great set of new announcements related to Windows, Xbox, HoloLens, and much more. Specifically, Cortana received some really impressive set of new features today, adding powerful Outlook integration. You can now use Cortana to do things like manage your events and appointments and additionally now it can recognize the different actions that can be acted on in emails, events, etc.
Apart from all this, you can now reply to text messages even from Android phones within Cortana. She will then detect any actionable actions and suggest things you can do like booking a table at a restaurant and much more. Microsoft is now allowing developers to integrate Cortana into their own apps to make the apps more responsive and functional with voice commands and more functions.
The integration of Cortana within Skype was long awaited and now it is also becoming a reality with the new chat interface through which you can use Cortana within Skype. The Anniversary Update for Windows 10 will come with more Cortana-related features like being able to use it directly from the lock screen and more. This update will be rolled out to users this summer, so the wait shouldn’t be long.
