Asian company Coship is getting ready to launch its newest Windows 10 Mobile smartphone in Europe called the Coship Moly X1. However, the company is concerned with the health of the entire Windows Mobile ecosystem, especially since for years it has produced Windows devices. Evidence of this is Microsoft having ceased supporting Lumia Windows and coupled with the shrinking global market for this type of phone.

As such, the company declared that it is considering whether or not it should still invest in the platform. The post ended on a positive note, though: The company asked fans for their opinions to gauge interest

Going forward, it seems that the company is deciding against a more traditional distribution model for Europe, choosing instead to test the market with an Indiegogo campaign this October when it will launch the campaign for the Molypcphone.

The Coship Moly X device is somewhere between a mid-range to low-end device, boasting a 5.5 inch 720p screen running a Snapdragon 400 processor and offering 2GB RAM. Even so, many people think that the crowdfunding campaign will not attract millions of buyers like the more interesting Nuans Neo handset, which failed to attract even 500 buyers on their Kickstarter campaign.

Moreover, many people suspect that Coship is in fact the ODM found behind the WhartonBrooks Windows 10 Phone, which would mean that if they decide to back off, there will be more consequences than merely affecting their own company.
