Daily Mail updated its Universal app for Windows 10 with a bunch of new features and improvements. After installing the update, users will get some channel layout improvements as well as Windows 10 Mobile Continuum support.

The update is available for both Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile versions of DailyMail Online app.

DailyMail Online for Windows 10 Update Features

Here are the version notes of the latest update for DailyMail Online for Windows 10:

  • Provide additional single channel layout for Windows Desktop and Tablet.
  • Use Single channel layout for devices smaller than 11 inches
  • Provide settings option to enable / disable Multi channel layout Support
  • Windows 10 Mobile Continuum and show non mobile views
  • Update Read Later content based on any articles marked for deletion on server

As you can see, channel layout has been improved so you can now use a single channel layout on devices with smaller screens, with the choice of disabling or enabling multiple channel layouts.

The highlight of this update is definitely the Windows 10 Continuum support. So, if you own a Windows 10 Mobile device that is compatible with this feature, you can project DailyMail Online content on the bigger screen for an even better user experience.

Finally, the update also improves the Read Later feature of DailyMail Online, which now updates based on articles marked for deletion on servers.

DailyMail is among the first third-party apps in the Store that premiered Continuum support. We hope other developers will follow and deliver as many Continuum-compatible apps as possible in the near future.

To download the update, just head over to the Windows 10 Store on your Windows 10 or Windows 10 Mobile device, and check for updates. Or, you can download it directly from this link.
